When a checkout sends the same purchase from both the browser and the server, the two events need to be matched. This setup connects Meta Pixel and the Conversions API through Google Tag Manager and addresses duplicate events and missing parameters.
Configuration and testing
- Configure the server container on Stape or Google Cloud, according to your setup.
- Set up GA4 ecommerce events, Google Ads conversions and remarketing tags. Data layer setup is available for Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Verify the domain and check events with Meta Test Events and GTM debug mode.
